Window displays mark importance of Remembrance Day

Funeralcare colleagues across the south of England are marking Remembrance Day with special displays in their windows.

Remembrance Day 2022 sees the Royal British Legion remembering and commemorating military and civilian service, and the 40th anniversary of the Falklands conflict. Branches have created colourful displays with an important message of remembrance.

At Waterlooville’s J Edwards Funeral Directors, children from Poppins Nursery and Pre-School in Waterlooville have helped with the display after colleagues donated a hamper to them in September for a Macmillan coffee and cake morning.

The children enjoyed making all the poppies and pictures for the window display and also donated the flag and a light up remembrance bottle. Even the babies got involved by painting paper plates and making poppy shapes.
